Schedule Details
Day 1 Vientiane - Luang Prabang By Lao-China Railway
Meet your guide and start city tour to Wat Sisaket with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues. Wat Prakeo, which was the original home of the famous Emerald Buddha, which today lives in Bangkok. There are many excellent restaurants in Vientiane, and you will easily find something to suit your taste. Visit the huge golden That Luang monument, where all Lao citizen respect as holy pagoda. Visit Vientiane’s own Victory Monument, which looks like the Arc de Triumphe.
After Lunch, we will transfer you to Train Station for your next destination, Luang Prabang!
Upon arrival, we will transfer to your hotel and you can spend the rest evening at your leisure.
Day 2 Luang Prabang Full Day City Tour
Our guide will wake you up early for a very special dawn visit to witness the monks leaving their pagodas to receive offerings of food from Luang Prabang residents. It is a beautiful, serene ceremony that highlights the spiritualism of the Lao people. Visit morning market before returning to the hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, visit Wat Visoun, the holiest temple of the city, followed by Wat Aham and Wat That, where the ashes of King Sisavang Vong are interred inside the large central stupa.
Continue to Wat Xieng Thong, the most photographed temple in Luang Prabang. Afterwards, visit former Royal Palace, now the National Museum, and continues on to Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its golden bas-relief. Next is Wat Sensoukarahm, built in 1718 boasting a dazzling golden façade.
We will transfer to Living Craft Center, weaving center where you will experience how the silk produced from cocoon to textiles in Lao traditional looms.
After a long day, it's time for some exercise to climb the 328 steps of Mount Phousi. At the summit, enjoy a beautiful sunset and panoramic views of the city below. After descending, there is a chance to explore the nearby evening hill tribe market before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 Kuangsi Waterfall - Transfer
After breakfast, we will then drive you through the Luang Prabang countryside to Kuang Si Waterfalls. Upon reaching Kuang Si Waterfall, enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings or explore the surrounding dense jungle on foot. For the adventurous, it is possible to walk to the top of the falls via a steep track where beautiful views await.
